Marie Forleo interviews Marianne Williamson about her latest book – The Law Of Divine Compensation
I have just watched one of the most powerful, beautiful and mind-opening interview I have listened to in a the last few years and I just had to blog about it.
Two of my favourite inspirational women have set down to discuss work, money and miracles. These subjects are so touchy and can be hard to dive into as we often have such a strong belief system and many fears attached to them.
But Marie and Marianne did an amazing job talking about these important topics in a way that nearly brought me to tears. Enjoy the video below and my notes on this great interview.

Little bit about Marianne Williamson and the book:

I cannot wait to get this book as I am a big fan of the course in miracles and it’s principles.
Here are my notes on the Marianne Williamson’s interview with Marie Forleo:
What is The Law Of Divine Compensation?
The law of Divine compensation is a reflection on how the universe naturally operates.
As Marianne Williamson the universe is both: self organizing and self correcting. The universe supports life in moving forward all the time, in all aspects of things.
Just as the little embryo is programmed to become the baby, you are programmed to have a have the best relationship possible, you are programmed to have the best career possible. The embryo didn’t have to figure out how to become a baby.
The difference between the nature (instinctively growing into a fully developed being) and us (humans) is that we can say NO (to this divine programming).We can think thoughts and behave in ways that make us deviate from that otherwise perfect self-organizing pattern (of the universe).
If your life was a computer, think about (this divine programming) as undeleteable file (God’s will you may say) always there organizing every thought and every action not only on your part but on everyone else’s part including this divine bio-computer of the universe that will make sure that everybody meets who they are suppose to meet and everything happens that’s suppose to happen.
This is a programming in our mind…
so every aspect of your life unfolds to divine perfection.
During the interview Marianne brings up one of my favourite Einstein’s quotes
You are supported by universal plan. Every aspect of the universe is already at work making sure every aspect of your life unfolds according to that divine perfection.
UNFORTUNATELLY….
We are trained to think thoughts that knocked us out of that universal order.
The true self (in my personal understanding the pure love we are underneath it all) is a magnet for all things good.
Marianne defines The Law Of Divine Compensation
Anytime there is a lack, there is a diminishment, a deviation from love within spiritual substance there is the ability and the intention of the universe to compensate for whatever luck or diminishment.
If there is a luck (of some sort) The universe is ON IT.
BUT. BIG BUT…
If we are in lovelessness (in fear, anger, doubt…) the universe cannot move through us to provide the compensation/abundance.
The universe is infinite and endless opportunity machine.
Where are you experiencing lack of love in your life – that you are open to whether receive or give?

What is exciting about more women taking advantage of the opportunities we have in societies like ours – having the careers we have and earning the money we earn is
TO ASK:
How can I make more contribution trough the rights I have (as a woman)?
On fear
You turn ON the love and the fear is automatically gone.
In any moment when you need help, you need a breakthrough, you need a miracle ….miracle is a shift in perception FROM FEAR TO LOVE.
Mariane suggests to ask some new questions that could facilitate this shift in perception.
Where is the fear?
Who am I not forgiving?
Where am I living in the past or the future rather than the present?
Where am I not making my self fully available to the person in front of me?
Where am I not being as excellent, as ethical as I could be?
Where am I coming from ambition rather than service?
Where am I coming from competition rather than co-operation and collaboration?
Where am I not standing in full shining possibility within my self in any given moment?
That is the miracle …giving up the lover/weaker thought for the higher/stronger thought.
On Money and Childhood Programming
We are more than our mortal self and our mortal story.
When you accept your self as a child of the Universe/God/Divine, you realize that you are not at the effect of mortal limitation.
Once you move from “I am a child of my family situation” and say but I am so much more than that. I am a child of God and I am entitled to the miracles that every child of God is entitled to.
THIS WAS REALLY BIG FOR ME WHILE LISTENING TO THIS INTERVIEW!
I always new that as Marianne said, I am child of God/the Universe (as I prefer to think) but something rang a big bell when Marianne talked about the experience of her therapist saying: Your parents are not your real parents (they are your mortal parents in this particular reality you live in). It was little uncomfortable to take that thought in because I love and respect my parents so much but I think I have been honouring my parents subconsciously in a ways that have been disempowering for me (but felt loving and respectful).

In the presence oft the higher mind vibration, all that simply is not you will droop of it’s dead weight.
That is what enlightenment is.
Enlightenment is a shift in self identification, from the body to the spirit.
We are at the effect of the world we identify with – abundant or full of luck…
Where we get in trouble is when we meet a limited circumstance with a limited thought.
BAM! DOESN’T THAT SOUND FAMILIAR?
WHAT IF YOU
Answer the limited condition with the recognition of the Law of Divine Compensation? So the spirit will (be able to) compensate for any limit in the material world.
The consciousness with witch you meet the circumstance… is everything.
MARIANNE ENCOURAGES US TO NOT ONLY UNDERSTAND/PONDER THIS IDEA BUT TO KNOW IT, TO STAND ON IT… WITH CONVICTION.

If you treat these ideas as like toys or symbols or a metaphors, they will have the power of a toy,or a symbol or a metaphor BUT if you’ll treat these principles like the powers that literally rule the universe, so shall they be for you. from the Course in miracles.
Marianne ended the interview with a beautiful prayer that I wanted to write down to share on my blog. Here it s:
Dear God for all of us who are joined here, we place in your hands our burdens and our questions, and our responsibilities; we place in your hands our debts and we place in your hands our assets. We place in your hands our fears about money and work, and we place in your hands our visions, and our prayers and our hopes for money and work.
In this and in all things dear God we pray to be lifted to the highest level of divine order.
May we be what you would have us be that we may’d do what you would have us do.
May our work in the world Dear God be more than just a job, may it be a calling as each of us now surrender our selves and ask that we be used by you that whatever we do, let it be the conduit for the love that uplifts all things.
May the brilliance and the genius that is your spirit within us move through us in collaboration with the genius moving through everyone else to create the most beautiful world. And so it is.
